History

Filter Profitlich throughout the last decades

1965

Foundation of the company Profitlich Filter by Heinz Profitlich together with his brother Otto Profitlich.

1967

Development of a modular system and standard for suction filters in cooperation with the company Franz Wolscht, mechanical workshop and apparatus construction.

1968

Gradual extension of the suction filter series in cooperation with Krauss-Maffei, department for polymer machines, later KraussMaffei Technologies GmbH.

1970

Development of further filter specifications for Engel-Maschinenbau Austria and Bühler Uzwil, Switzerland.

1985

The sudden death of Heinz Profitlich leaves Otto Profitlich as head of Profitlich Filer. He leases the company to Filter-Maschinenbau GmbH. Dipl. Ing. Reiner Kader becomes CEO of FMG Filter Maschinenbau GmbH.

1994

Jürgen Müller-Manzke takes over the business of Filter Profitlich Maschinenbau GmbH.

1995

A cooperation with the company Sommermeyer, Gera, opens a new product line for machine tools industry. This line has been closed with the closure of Sommermeyer.

2002

Reinhold Wolscht takes over the company Filter Profitlich Maschinenbau GmbH. Thereby, engineering and costumer contact was combined with development and production.

2004

New fields open up with the introduction of 3D CAD software SolidWorks to our engineering office. Following the CAD, CAM is introduced shortly after.

2005

The first automatic self-cleaning filters are developed. The company Zander for special papers in Düren, and the paper factory Hermes in Düsseldorf are pioneers in the use of our aquaPROFI filters.

2006

The pharmaceutical company Dr. Wilmar Schwabe tries an AP5000 for 160 m³/h cooling water and in the same year equips a new production site with four more filters treating 400m³/h cooling water. These facilities are still in use. The breakthrough of our aquaPROFI line is here!

2007

Following the aluminium industry Rheinfelden, the first international aquaPROFI filters are installed at Salines Suisses facing over the rhine. Both companies use our self-cleaning filters as replacement for sand filters in the treatment of water from the rhine.

2009

The development and production of the aquaPROFI line is awarded by the Volkbank Bonn / Rhein-Sieg with the innovation price (Innovationspreis). A motivation and confirmation for to to keep researching and investing in new products and solutions in the future.

2012

Filter PROFItlich transfers its competences from fluid filtration to gases. The successful project for desulfurization of natural gas with the german department of economics and various well-known companies for fuel cells, marks the beginning of a new business field in gas filtration.
